Mark any invoice as paid in seconds: upload the invoice PDF, pick the payment date and stamp position, and download a PDF with a clean red PAID stamp — free, no signup, built entirely on your device. The stamp works on the first page or every page, on scanned and digital invoices alike.
A freelancer's client pays invoice INV-1042 on 3 November 2026. She opens the invoice PDF here, leaves the text as PAID, sets the date to 3 November 2026, stamps the first page only, and downloads INV-1042-paid.pdf. Anyone opening the file — her, the client, her accountant at year-end — sees instantly that it is paid and when. The bank transfer remains the proof of payment; the stamp is the visible record that makes filing and queries trivial. For unpaid invoices, the mirror workflow is our statement of account maker, which lists everything still outstanding.
PDF has been an open ISO standard — ISO 32000 — since 2008, which is why a stamped PDF looks identical on every device, in every country, years later: the stamp cannot shift, reflow or vanish the way a mark in a word-processor file can. That stability is the whole point of stamping a PDF rather than editing the original document: the invoice content is untouched, and the paid mark sits visibly on top of it. Keep the stamped copy with your bank record and your archived invoices, and year-end filing becomes a matter of reading stamps, not reconstructing memory.
A PAID stamp without a date invites the next question — "paid when?" The date closes the loop and matches the bank statement line.
Sending the customer a stamped copy ends the "did you receive it?" thread and gives them a clean receipt for their own records.
Keep the original invoice and the stamped copy together. At year-end, stamped files are your paid pile and unstamped files are your chase list.
Stamping adds a mark on top; it does not change amounts, dates or terms. If an invoice is wrong, issue a credit note — never rewrite the original.
The stamp is not a certified digital signature and does not prove payment. Your bank record is the proof; the stamp is the visible record.
Password-protected or damaged PDFs cannot be stamped here. Remove the password first with the document owner's permission, or use an unencrypted copy.
The stamp goes top-right, bottom-right or centred. If your invoice already has content exactly there, pick another position so nothing is covered.
It draws a clean red PAID stamp, with the payment date you choose, onto your invoice PDF — on the first page or on every page. The stamped PDF downloads to your device, ready to file or send to your customer.
Yes — unlimited stamped PDFs, forever. No trial, no watermark, no account and no payment details. It runs entirely in your browser.
No. The stamp is a visual mark only — it shows that an invoice was paid and when. It is not a certified digital signature and it does not prove payment by itself; your bank record remains the proof of payment.
Yes. The stamp is drawn on top of the page, so it works on scanned and digitally-created PDFs alike, as long as the PDF is not encrypted.
Yes — the stamp text defaults to PAID but you can type any short word, and the date defaults to today but you can pick any date. Position is top-right, bottom-right or centred.
No. The PDF is stamped on your own device with a JavaScript PDF library — it is never uploaded to any server, and nothing is stored after you close the page.
Because a stamped invoice ends the question instantly: anyone opening the file sees it is paid, with the date. It stops duplicate-payment chases, settles customer queries, and makes year-end filing visibly complete.
